2016 Outdoor Composition Contest Applications Available!

Columbia Summer Winds is thrilled to announce the start of the 2016 Outdoor Composition Contest (OCC). Applications are now open!

The Outdoor Composition Contest is a biannual competition that seeks new, unpublished and dynamic compositions that fit the unique demands of an outdoor performance venue. Through OCC, we offer exposure for composers of all ages and the chance for one winner's piece to be performed throughout the 2017 season!

If you - or someone you know - is interested in applying, you can check out complete information on the OCC page of our website. But hurry! Submissions are due May 6th.

While we have to wait until the end of this summer to find out our newest winner, you can watch CSW's performance of the 2014 OCC winner: If You Could Only See the Frog by Paul Richards.
